Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. An XML template engine (or XML template processor) is a specialized template processor for XML input and/or output, working in an XML template system context. XSLT processors may be delivered as standalone applications, or as software components or libraries intended for use by applications. Many web browsers and web server software have XSLT processor components built into them. Most current operating systems have an XSLT processor installed. For example, Windows XP comes with the MSXML3 library, which includes an XSLT processor. Early XSLT processors had very few optimizations, stylesheet documents were read using the Document Object Model and the processor would act on them directly. XPath engines were also not optimized.

XML - Binary Optimized Packaging

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. XML-binary Optimized Packaging (XOP) is a W3C recommended convention, defined for efficient serialization of XML Information Sets that have a mix of binary and textual data, and, more generally for storing binary data in XML tags. XOP defines an XOP Infoset, which becomes the container for the mixed XML document. When an XML document is encapsulated in an XOP Infoset, all chunks of binary data are separated from the XML document and stored separately. In the XML document, an xop::Include element is added which references the new location of the binary data. When reading the original document back from the XOP Infoset, the XOP processor replaces the xop::Include tags with the actual binary data they reference.

The mission of the paper is to analyze the information exchanging flows in transport chain and their support by existent XML-based standards. The study is focused on goods transportation in transport chain. The first purpose is to set up a transport chain model with the actors who take part in transport activities and to analyze the information exchanges between them in the transport chain model. The second purpose is to research that in how far the information exchanges in transport chain are facilitated electronically by the selected XML-based standards. Three XML-based standards are chosen for the research, namely RosettaNet Standard, OAGIS 9.0 and ebXML. The contributions of these three XML-based standards to the electrical information exchange between different actors are investigated to make it clear how far they have already optimized the communication and what are still expected. As a conclusion, the selected XML-based standards are compared and evaluated with the defined criteria. The advantages and disadvantages are discussed.

Dalheimer, M: Programming with QT

The popular open source KDE desktop environment for Unix was built with Qt, a C++ class library for writing GUI applications that run on Unix, Linux, Windows 95/98, Windows 2000, and Windows NT platforms. Qt emulates the look and feel of Motif, but is much easier to use. Best of all, after you have written an application with Qt, all you have to do is recompile it to have a version that works on Windows. Qt also emulates the look and feel of Windows, so your users get native-looking interfaces.Platform independence is not the only benefit. Qt is flexible and highly optimized. You'll find that you need to write very little, if any, platform-dependent code because Qt already has what you need. And Qt is free for open source and Linux development.Although programming with Qt is straightforward and feels natural once you get the hang of it, the learning curve can be steep. Qt comes with excellent reference documentation, but beginners often find the included tutorial is not enough to really get started with Qt. That's whereProgramming with Qt steps in. You'll learn how to program in Qt as the book guides you through the steps of writing a simple paint application. Exercises with fully worked out answers help you deepen your understanding of the topics. The book presents all of the GUI elements in Qt, along with advice about when and how to use them, so you can make full use of the toolkit. For seasoned Qt programmers, there's also lots of information on advanced 2D transformations, drag-and-drop, writing custom image file filters, networking with the new Qt Network Extension, XML processing, Unicode handling, and more.Programming with Qt helps you get the most out of this powerful, easy-to-use, cross-platform toolkit. It's been completely updated for Qt Version 3.0 and includes entirely new information on rich text, Unicode/double byte characters, internationalization, and network programming.

Learning Android Game Programming brings together all the knowledge and sample code that even casual or junior Android developers need to develop low-budget 2D games with Java and XML. For the first time, it makes Android game development practical for thousands of developers who don't have the resources to build highly-complex 3D games. Rather than focusing on difficult, highly-optimized native C libraries, this book relies on the far more accessible AndEngine framework and Java/Dalvik virtual machine. Coverage includes: Mobile game design principles, tools, and terminology Using the AndEngine framework, Java/Dalvik, and the Android SDK together Rendering images, using sprite sheets, and creating animations Working with text, fonts, tile maps, particles, and sound Supporting user input and creating an effective game interface Working with the physics engine Integrating, tuning, and testing the complete game Publishing games on Android Market or downloading them directly to Android devices
